the 2010 Festa del Borgo San Giuliano (Rimini) had a theme of ‘partenze’ or departures – and the Borgo was decorated with giant suitcases / houses.

Every two years (in even-numbered years) the charming Borgo San Giuliano (just across the ponte di tiberio) holds the Festa de Borg - an event which has gradually grown from being a local Rimini event, to pulling in visitors from across the region.

The small cobbled streets of this zone of the city, with their Fellini-themed murals (originally painted for the Festa de Borg) play host to music, theatre, and the best in local food and drink.

Each festival has a theme, and in 2010 the theme was 'Partenze' or departures. The Borgo had a number of huge model suitcases, with windows and doors, to represent the houses in the Borgo which had people emigrating to destinations throughout the world.
