Over 40,000 people poured into Borgo San giuliano at the weekend for the 2014 Festa de’Borg – a huge success. The festival was opened with a parade from Piazza Cavour to the Borgo, over the Ponte di Tiberio – with actors from various epochs of the bridge’s history. In this photo you can see a slice of the ‘italian economic boom’ of the ’50s and ’60s.

Ponte di Tiberio Tien Bota is the title of the 2014 Festa de Borg. Literally Tien Botta can be translated in this context as ‘stand firm, stand proud’, celebrating the 2000 year old Ponte di Tiberio which connects the Centro Storico to Borgo San Giuliano and vice versa.
